Our Fees

The care we provide is tailored to your needs and so there is no “standard” plan. We are happy to give you a rough price guide over the phone based on an initial discussion.

We firmly believe in providing you with excellent value for money with the highest quality support from all of our team.

Our fees are kept realistic and not over exaggerated.

To ensure that we create an individually tailored support plan for you, we do need to visit you and your family at home. The visit allows us time to work with you and your family to go into more detail and to really understand your care and support needs and what you wish to achieve.

Our visits can range from 30 minutes upwards and the costs will depend on the time needed in the care plan to effectively and safely cater to your individual needs.

We understand that choosing how to pay for your care or for the care of a loved one can be a difficult decision. You want what is best but you have to live in the real world and price is important.

Our price promise

Here at Tamar Care Services, we offer the highest quality care at a price which we believe is real value for money.

There will never be any 'hidden extras' and no 'nasty surprises'.

We don't charge extra for weekend care and support.

You may pay for your care in the way that suits you and we will gladly assist you to do this.

Funding sources

Many of our customers choose to fund their care privately but we also recommend that you research any benefits that might be available to you.

You may find that you are eligible for funding from the County Council (see details opposite) and if so you may be a given a personal budget.

You can also choose to manage your personal budget yourself and decide who you want to care for you. This arrangement is called Direct Payments as the Council pay the money directly to you. Specialist staff are available from the Council to provide information, advice and support for Direct Payments.

Public funding through the County Council

We advise that you contact your local social services to get advice on this. They will be able to discuss your eligibility to funding. This may be Devon, Cornwall or Plymouth and will depend on what area you live in.

We are not able to give individual advice on funding and finances but we are able to point you in the right direction. There are many useful sources of help and advice available to you - see details opposite.
